Pizza pinwheels is a scrumptious snacks /dinner recipe. Generally we prepare pizza dough using yeast. But here in this recipe I have used wheat flour and does't used yeast or baking soda.
To make it healthier I haven't used all purpose flour and used wheat flour to make this pizza pinwheels. This recipe is very easy to prepare and require the basic ingredients only which are always available in our pantry. And one more thing is this recipe doesn't require oven too. We can prepare this pizza pin wheels in pan too.
In this recipe I have used home made pizza sauce. To make this pizza pin wheels the pizza sauce should be very thick to avoid leakage while rolling.

PIZZA PINWHEELS/PIZZA ROLLS

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups Wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon sugar
salt to taste
oil as required
water as required
Pizza sauce as required
Shredded cheese as required
Finely chopped onion as required
Finely chopped Tomato as required
Finely chopped capsicum as required
Sweet corn as required
Olives as required
1 teaspoon pepper powder
1 teaspoon chilli flakes
oregano/pizza seasoning

PREPARATION:
Chop all the vegetables and keep then ready.
Prepare the pizza sauce or you can even use the store brought pizza sauce too.
METHOD:
In a bowl take the wheat flour, salt, sugar and a tablespoon of oil.
Mix well with hands. Add water little by little and knead well.
Don't add water at once, add little by little and knead it like chapatti dough. Don't make it as more sticky, it will make the rolling difficult.
Keep the dough aside for around 15 -30 minutes.
In a bowl take all the vegetables and cheese. Add the pepper powder, chilli flakes, pizza seasoning and mix well.
Take a large lemon sized dough ball and roll it into thin chapatti.
Spread the pizza sauce on the top.
Spread the prepared cheese veggie mixing into thin layer.
Roll it tightly and seal the edge.
Cut the roll into small rounds using a thread as shown in the video/below pictures
Arrange the cut pizza pinwheels in baking pan lined with greased baking paper.
Bake in a preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes for around 180 C or until it becomes golden brown on the sides.
Or we can make in stove top too.
Heat a pan and add oil for shallow frying.
Once the oil becomes hot, place the cut pinwheels and let it cook in medium flame.
Flip and let it cook on both the sides.
Once the pinwheels are cooked well, remove from heat and serve hot with ketchup.
NOTES:
- The vegetables choice is as per our own wish.
- you can even add jalapeño, basil leaves too.
- Instead of home made pizza sauce , store brought pizza sauce can also used.
- Instead of shredded mozzarella cheese, cheese slices can also be used
