MICROWAVE APPLE BLUEBERRY CRUMBLE/CRISP
Apple blueberry crumble/crisp is a delicious dessert having apple and blueberry layer in the bottom and topped with cinnamon flavored oats.
Generally the crumble or crisp can be made in savory or sweet
version, fruits like apple, pears, berries, peach, plums are commonly used in making
crumbles.
In this recipe I have used
apples and blue berry flavored with cinnamon.
As I have used mainly whole Oats and brown sugar, it is healthy
also.
Ok now coming to the recipe.
APPLE BLUEBERRY
CRUMBLE
RECIPE TYPE: DESSERT | CUISINE: CONTINENTAL |
YIELDS: 2 PERSONS|PREPARATION TIME: 5 MIN | COOKING TIME: 1 1/2 MIN
METHOD:
Keep the ingredients ready. Chop the apples into small pieces.
In a microwave safe bowl add the chopped
apples and blueberries.
Mix the date’s syrup and ½ teaspoon
cinnamon powder and toss well.
In a separate bowl add the oats,
flour, remaining cinnamon powder and brown sugar. Mix well.
Sprinkle the oats flour mixture on
the top of the fruits.
Place few blueberries on the top and
keep in microwave high for 1 ½ minutes.
Once blue berries on the top, cooked
and juice is coming out it means the crisp is ready.
Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream
or any of your choice. It tastes even with whipped cream also.
NOTES:
For me it got ready at 1 /2 minutes. If
it is not getting ready in mentioned time, microwave for 30 more seconds.
You can add a pinch of nutmeg powder
and crushed ginger.
You can replace the all purpose flour with almond meal.
