RED CHUTNEY FOR NORTH INDIAN CHAT ITEMS(SPICY GARLIC &RED CHILLI CHUTNEY)


Garlic chutney is one more variety of chutney used in making of north Indian chats. I usually use this garlic chutney which preparing the papdi chat. But you can add this also in in bhel puri for nice flavour and taste. This is also slightly different from our south Indian garlic chutney which we prepare as side dish for idly/dosa.
Ok now coming to the recipe.
GARLIC CHUTNEY FOR CHATS

PREPARATION TIME: 5 MIN | COOKING TIME: -


METHOD:
Soak the red chillies in hot water for around 10 to 15 minutes.

Grind the peeled garlic, red chillies, salt, lemon juice and sugar into smooth paste by adding required water.



Store the chutney in air tight bottle and store in refrigerator.

NOTES:
  • You can add roasted jeera powder also for additional flavour.
  • Don’t add too much of sugar.
  • Adjust the red chillies as per your required spiciness.
  • Insteadof red chillies you can add red chilli powder also.
